It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we acknowledge the sudden passing of Constable Prasanth Indralingam, a dedicated member of the Peel Regional Police. He passed away on Thursday, March 19, following a medical emergency, leaving behind a legacy of service, integrity, and compassion that will not be forgotten.
Constable Indralingam served with the 22 Division B Platoon and had been a valued member of the police service for two and a half years. At just 30 years old, he exemplified commitment and professionalism far beyond his years. Known for his strong work ethic, humility, and genuine care for others, he approached his duties with a sense of purpose and honor that earned him the respect and admiration of both his colleagues and the community he served.
His passing is a profound loss not only to the Peel Regional Police but also to his beloved wife, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. In every interaction, Prasanth demonstrated kindness, empathy, and an unwavering dedication to making a positive difference. His absence will be deeply felt within the force and beyond.
Prasanth was also a cherished member of the wider community. As the son of Indralingam Sriskandarasa, former president of the Valvai Makkal Sangam, he shared a strong connection to his roots and community values. The Valvai Makkal Sangam has expressed heartfelt grief at his passing, recognizing him as a young man of admirable character whose life, though brief, made a meaningful impact.
In tribute, we remember Prasanth not only as a police officer but as a son, husband, colleague, and friend. His legacy is one of service, kindness, and quiet strength. Though his time was tragically cut short, the lives he touched and the good he brought into the world will endure.
We extend our deepest and most sincere condolences to his wife, family, loved ones, and the entire Peel Regional Police community during this incredibly difficult time. May they find comfort in the memories they shared with him and strength in the support that surrounds them. Prasanth Indralingam will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
